Principal's Message

Dear Dolphin Families, Welcome to September! We are off to a great start, and I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. As we move forward, I would like to share a few important reminders and upcoming events. Attendance Matters! Regular attendance is an important part of student success. When students miss a day of school or arrive late, they may miss important instruction and learning opportunities. Over time, these missed opportunities can create gaps in their learning. We understand that students may become sick and need to stay home. However, please help us avoid unnecessary absences whenever possible. Our instructional day begins at 7:45 a.m. The beginning of the school day is especially important as students review, prepare for the day, and receive their daily agenda. Arriving late can make it difficult for students to get settled and may cause them to miss important information. If your child is going to arrive late, please contact the front office to let us know. Save the Date: Report Card Night We are already halfway through the second six weeks! Please make plans to attend our first Report Card Night of the school year on September 23rd. This will be a great opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher, review their progress, and discuss ways we can work together to support their success. Childhood Cancer Awareness Month On September 4th, we will kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We invite our Dolphin Family to show their support by wearing yellow or gold on Fridays throughout the month. Tutorials Begin September 22nd Tutorials will begin on September 22nd for a select group of students. Your child’s teacher will contact you if your student has been selected for this round of tutorials. Students may be added to tutorials as needed based on academic data and progress monitoring. Our goal is to provide every student with the support they need to be successful. Breakfast Reminder Please remember that warm breakfast is served from 7:15–7:40 a.m. · Pre-Kinder students: Drop-off is at the ECC entrance on Monterrey. · Kinder–5th grade students: Drop-off is available at the ECC or Cafeteria. Starting the day with a healthy breakfast and arriving on time helps students get off to a great start and be ready to learn. Thank you for helping us make this a successful and great year for your child! Your support and partnership are an important part of our students’ success. One Team. One Goal.
